The Hilton Waikoloa is used as a points reward, but they are still holding on the the resort image. To get to the continental buffet, you have to walk through the fill buffer. Grab a few sausages, and hide them under the English muffin, if the waiter sees them it’s a $12 upgrade fee. Asia is the new market but some how the only English they speak is Fwee.

The food was amazing, and got a choice of a bunch of to order items. Also the kids where 50% off and had unlimited choices. They did have an upgrade fee for the full access (like the kids) but for the addition of a few items was not worth it.

I’ve found that these website/bloggers just post and move on. No interest in answering the people that get them their advertising dollars.

When I was there in the 1st day there is no one welcome at the entrance. All staffs are disappear and few were serving. So i help myself to the table, drop my breakfast coupon at the table and pick a few things to eat, later they want to charge me the bill for having egg and sauage. I refuse to pay, noting that if that is the case the person who took my coupon should tell me there is a charge.

Doubletree at penstation… only few blocks away, you get everythings for free. Food are a lot nicer and more varities.

Only in US that Hilton brand will do such a stupid and complicate things. In Asia like bangkok, doubletree have such a huge varities of breakfast to the points that i cant eat everythings.

Perfect timing as we have a one-night stay booked at the Grand Wailea in a couple of weeks. I was able to change the MY WAY preference on my account to include continental breakfast for two and also to hopefully look forward to an upgrade and late checkout for my stay for having Gold status.

I don’t see an answer to your question– am I missing it?

How did all four of you eat for free? Did they waive the other two members of your family?

That’s awesome! I’m more of a Hyatt person myself, but reading a success story like this makes me want to reconsider.

Thank you for sharing!

Me and a guest where able to eat in their restaurant and partake in the continental Plus package. Included many hot items, made to order waffles, yogurts, fresh fruit, pasteries, etc etc. The choices where endless and only excluded the made to order omelets and some specifically items. They where charging $29+tax per person if you had to pay cash. They even had already printed sheets about the gold status as they get a lot of visitors. Made the Gold status well worth it (via a CC)
